Biophilia is the innate connection that human beings seek with the natural world. Join the growing biophilic movement to understand, elevate, and amplify biophilic solutions across a broad range of industries. How can we take local and global actions that nurture the living, social, and economic systems that will sustain future generations? Nature has the answers. Every other week, hosts Monica Olsen and Jennifer Walsh pose questions centered around finding common-sense solutions to some of society's biggest problems. They'll speak with experts in the growing field of biophilia and environmental research about everything from offsetting your personal carbon footprint to putting pressure on the corporations and policy-makers that can affect major, systemic change. We hope you'll join us on our biophilic journey. Subscribe, follow and listen today.

Monica Olsen (30s):
Jennifer, we're starting a podcast and it's called Biophilic Solutions.

Jennifer Walsh (34s):
Monica, I'm so happy we're finally doing this. We've been talking about this for two years.

Monica Olsen (38s):
I know. But the big question for everybody listening is what is Biophilia?

Jennifer Walsh (44s):
That's such a good question. I'll take that one.

Monica Olsen (47s):
Okay you take that one cause you're the nature expert.

Jennifer Walsh (50s):
Well, thank you for that. Biophilia is our innate connection to all living things. We crave that connection to animals, to plants, and of course, to other humans. It basically translates to the love of life. Monica, what do you think Biophilic Solutions truly are?

Monica Olsen (1m 6s):
I think, I think a Biophilic Solution is anything where nature has the answer.

Jennifer Walsh (1m 11s):
And I think making good choices is all we really want to do. So I think coming together with great people that are doing impactful work around the world only makes us better for not only me and you, but people that want to listen, our families, our communities. I think we can't go wrong.

Monica Olsen (1m 27s):
I think you're right. We are incessantly curious, but we do not have all the answers.

Jennifer Walsh (1m 31s):
Monica, speak for yourself.

Monica Olsen (1m 33s):
Well, maybe you do. But I don't.

Jennifer Walsh (1m 35s):
Just kidding.

Monica Olsen (1m 36s):
So, we're going to go out and we're going to find the answers to all of these questions that we have around nature and biophilia. And those biophilic leaders are going to come on and give us the answers.

Jennifer Walsh (1m 48s):
Monica you're so right, and as we both know, I think everyone knows innately that nature nature really has all the answers.

Monica Olsen (1m 55s):
I think you're right. So I'm Monica Olsen

Jennifer Walsh (1m 57s):
And I'm Jennifer Walsh.

Monica Olsen (1m 58s):
